A production process of chipless forming technology (DIN 8583, DIN 8584) for the manufacture of rotationally-symmetrical hollow parts


Series MSM 10.    1-Roller Metal-Spinning Machines

Process for the manufacture of spun parts (DIN 8584). Technologies:
Spinning     Round blank of preform is spun onto the tool in spinning steps. The wall thickness remains largely unchanged.

Necking-in Cylindrical preforms are taken up in a hollow chuck and necked-in in several spinning steps (against air).

Shear-Forming    Workpieces - round blank or preform are performed in a shear-forming pass. Material reduction is achieved under mathematical conditions (shear-forming/sine law).

 

  


 

Series MSM 20.    2-Roller Shear-Forming Machines

Process for the manufacture of shear-formed parts (DIN 8583). 

Technologies:

Shear-Forming    Round blanks or preforms are plastically formed by the shear-forming effect of the 2 rollers and the workpiece is produced in one shear-forming pass. Material reduction is achieved under mathematical conditions (shear-forming/sine law).

 

  


 

Series MSM 30.    3-Roller Flow-Forming Machines

Process for the manufacture of cylindrical flow-formed parts (DIN 8583). Technologies:

Flow-forming       Preforms or tubes are plastically formed by 3 rollers and reduced in their wall thickness. Constant or variable wall thicknesses are possible. Depending on the starting material, flow-forming is achieved by way of forward or reverse flow-forming.

Flow-forming / Profiling        Preforms can be plastically formed by the process such that the material is formed into profiles.

 

  


 

Series OSM           Necking-in Machines


Process for hot forming and closure of tubes for pressurized gas cylinders

Technology:

Necking-in Necking-in the ends of cut-to-size tubes. The material is heated and in step-by-step swivel motions of the forming roller the neck and the bottom of pressurized gas cylinders is processed.

 

 

   


 

Series MSM RV    Wheel Machine (vertical construction)

Process for the manufacture of aluminium wheels.

Technologies:

Splitting     In preparation of the subsequent operation, forged preforms are centrically split by a splitting roller.

Forming      Forming is achieved with 2 opposite forming rollers in one pass or in spinning steps.

Process for the production of steel wheels.

Technologies:

Necking-in / forming    Starting from preformed and longitudinally welded steel rings, stepwise necking-in / forming into the final shape is achieved.
